5077/100R - RARE HANDCRAFTS CALATRAVA SELF-WINDING

A garland of leaves circles a bouquet of flowers of oriental inspiration within an arabesque on the dials of this limited edition in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel.

Each watch has its own harmonious color scheme – blue, pink or black. The enameler used 52 cm of gold wire (0.45 g) measuring 0.05 x 0.4 mm and 0.1 x 0.4 mm in cross-section to create the contours of the curves and volutes and the foliate motifs. Coloring the composition required from 11 to 20 enamel colors, depending on the dial. Most colors were transparent but some were opaque. Each dial called for between 12 and 15 firings at a temperature of approximately 820°C.

The bezel and the lugs are set with 112 brilliant-cut Top Wesselton Pure diamonds (~0.8 ct) and the prong buckle sparkles with 29 diamonds (~0.22 ct). Housed in a white-gold or rose-gold case, the caliber 240 ultra-thin self-winding movement may be admired through the sapphire-crystal back.
